HOUSTON — A Houston woman arrested Wednesday night and charged with three counts of possession of child pornography went before a judge Friday.
Crystal Dawn Wallace, 34, was arrested at her home in the 8900 block of South Braeswood.
Investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force said Wallace was sharing more than 500 videos of child pornography using a commercial file-trading network called BearShare.
More than 500 videos. Not just still pictures but videos. And it gets worse:
The videos were so disturbing, investigators like Lt. Mathew Gray had a hard time viewing the evidence.
“The videos that Miss Wallace had showed were children – infant age, in diapers – being raped, screaming for their mother. And it affects all of us as parents, family members, as cops,” Gray said.
This is disturbing beyond words. There is no valid reason or excuse for a person to take part in something like this. This is a time when the word "evil" should be used.
“She understood that these were live children that were being assaulted, that this was something that’s real that she’s watching on these videos,” Gray said. - Read the entire article here
One good thing is that at a bail hearing a Judge did this:
Harris County Assistant DA Eric Devlin was seeking $50,000 bail for each count of child pornography possession faced by Crystal Wallace.
But after hearing some of the evidence, Judge Mark Kent Ellis doubled the amount -- $300,000 for three counts.
