(Headline) - Ex-Fairless teacher admits sex with teen
CANTON - A former Fairless middle-school teacher admitted in court Monday to having a sexual relationship with an underage teen.
Kathryn Gill, 29, pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Gill engaged in sexual conduct with a teenage boy between April and July, Curd said. The boy, who was older than 13 but younger than 16, attended a school in the district, but the prosecutor wouldn't say which one.
The charge is based on the boy's age, not on a teacher-student relationship.

CANTON - A former Fairless middle-school teacher is headed to prison for having a sexual relationship with an underage teen.
"Why would she do such a thing?" the mother asked in the letter. She also questioned whether the sentence would be more severe if Gill was a man and the victim was a girl.
Reinbold said his sentence likely would be tougher in that scenario — given the factors of intimidation, size and strength — but the fact remained that Gill had to be punished for breaking the law and the trust that parents place in teachers.
